Unfortunately, this movie just did not hit the spot for me. I hate Jane Austin books*, but I do enjoy the movies made from her books. I had at least one major problem with this version, they talked too damn fast and Miss Lizzie would clench her teeth every time that she talked, so it was really hard to figure out what she was saying. I liked Mr. Darcy, but by the end of the movie, I still didn't love him. Though I will say that beyond his mullet he was attractive :) Oh and the lessons that I learned from this movie are as follows:
How to Bag a Rich Husband
1. Be sassy and witty
2. Show your disdain for him
3. Whenever it rains, run around and get cold, wet, and dirty
4. Look pensive alot
5. Play impossible to get
Well, my recommendations for this one is, rent it, but start it before 10 pm. That way you can enjoy it and not just hope it will be over soon so you can go to sleep :) enjoy!
*Since this time I decided that I do like Jane Austen books and rank Pride and Prejudice as one of my favorites... It's amazing what an AP English teacher can do to ruin books for you...
