Grave of the Fireflies

Wow, ummmmm, sad movie. I actually thought that it would be more interesting due to all the word of mouth hype that I had heard.  While I thought that it was good I didn't think that it was amazing or awe inspiring.  The thing that actually struck a chord with me was the fact that I had been to Japan and seen the effects of the fire bombing.  If I hadn't had some kind of personal experience, I could probably have shrugged off the impact of the film.  Something simply felt like it was missing to me. Unfortunately, I can't figure out what it is. So, my recommendation; it's good, but not great, and you may feel the lack of something afterwards. Let me know if you can define it
