Pure Blood - Caitlin Kittredge

I've had this series laying around for a while now, and I tend to come back to it when I don't feel like reading anything else. I find these books to be a little slow to start, but once I'm hooked, they are very hard to put down. Pure Blood is the 2nd book in the Nocturne City series, and it holds up very well to the original (Night Life (Nocturne City, Book 1). Luna's life has not gotten any better since Night Life, and the book begins as she gets off of the medical leave she was forced to take after the first book. Her search for love continues, but there is less focus on her physical were issues than previously.
The featured mystery/crime in this story is involving and believable in the context of the story, and there is additional insight into Luna's "white knight" motivations.
My recommendation: The series is a fun read, but a bit more serious than the Sookie Stackhouse type books. Buy the paperback or get it at the library.
