Synopsis
Baba Segi's first three wives are very upset about the addition of the new fourth wife to their lives. They make her life as difficult as possible, but their attacks start to backfire when Baba Segi takes his new wife to the doctor to discover why she can't seem to conceive for him.
Review
This was the first book for our new book group! This book is a very interesting view into the reason and lifestyle of a polygamous family in Nigeria. I really liked the background of all the separate wives, however it was difficult at times to figure out who was narrating each chapter. While the book was fairly serious in tone, I really liked the conclusion of the book. Plus the book was a fairly quick read.
My Recommendation
This is a very interesting read, though adult in nature. I give it a 4/5 - Wait for a sale/coupon.
